Emily Clarkson has shared some joyous news, announcing she is pregnant with her second baby.
The influencer and podcast host, 29, welcomed a daughter with husband Alex Adrew in February last year.
Named Arlo, she was the couple’s first child together.
And now their family is set to grow once more, as the Metro.co.uk columnist is pregnant with another girl.
Taking to Instagram to share her joyous news on Friday (July 11), Emily uploaded a video from the beach in which she proudly showcased her bump.
Wearing a skin-tight black ensemble, her blossoming belly was clearly visible, with firstborn Arlo rushing over to place her hands on it.
Emily’s caption read: ‘Our baby girl is going to be a big sister 🐣💕 so so so so excited to share that we’re expecting another little girl’.
The writer went on to say that it had been ‘so much harder’ to hide her pregnancy this time around, adding that her struggles were only intensified by ‘HG’ which is hyperemesis gravidarum, excessive nausea and vomiting.
‘I want to talk a lot more about that, and I will, but for now, here’s our wonderful news, we’re over the moon ✨’, she concluded.
Emily was inundated with congratulatory messages from fellow online personalities and her followers.
‘What lovely news! Congratulations xxx’, wrote Ruth Crilly.
‘OMG YAAAAAAY! Congratulations!!!!’, commented Jules Von Hep.
Noting the timing of Emily’s announcement, it didn’t take long for fans to pick up that she recently completed the London Marathon.
__jordanfoster commented: ‘Oh my goodness! Congratulations. So hang on… does this mean YOU RAN THE LONDON MARATHON PREGNANT?! you bloody superhero xxxx’, to which Emily replied with a series of suspicious eye emoji.
She also received plenty of words of encouragement from other mums who have suffered from HG, which can take a real toll on pregnant women’s lives as they struggle to keep food or drink down.
‘Huge congratulations 🎊 HG survivor here struggling with wanting a second and not knowing how or what that will look like if I get HG again. Can’t wait to hear about your experience this go around’, commented thelacouple.
The condition can be debilitating for pregnant women, with Kate Middleton also opening up about it in the past.
Having suffered with it through all three of her pregnancies and being hospitalised, the Princess of Wales said it was ‘a challenge’ to feel so ‘utterly rotten’.
Emily regularly shares the ups and downs of her life with the internet, having amassed over 300,000 followers on Instagram.
She’s often found talking about mental health, self-acceptance, and body image.
Following her first pregnancy and Arlo’s birth, Emily said motherhood and adjusting to her new body had been a ‘journey’.
On the pressure to ‘bounce back’ to her pre-baby body, she previously wrote: ‘It’s a huge paradox; the love and admiration you can have for what you did, and the feelings of dislike we feel towards the vessel that we did it with.
‘But that’s the society we grew up in. The one that coined the bounce back in the first place.’
Adding that she is ‘actively’ reminding herself to ‘appreciate the magnitude’ of the life change, she penned: ‘It took me nine months to make a human being from practically scratch without so much as an instruction manual.
‘I was bound to bear the scars from that. I am NOT bound to apologise for them, or be ashamed of them. As much as we feel we ought, as much as we’ve been taught we should.’
Marking Arlo’s first birthday earlier this year, Emily couldn’t believe how quickly the time had passed, writing on Instagram that she had been an ’emotional wreck’ the night before the little one’s special day.
‘I sat and SOBBED as I fed her to sleep, for all the people we’ve been over the last year, so many versions really known only fleetingly and to each other. Marvelling at how I made her, and she, me,’ she wrote on Instagram.
Emily added: ‘I mourned those early days whilst being simultaneously sure I wouldn’t go back for anything because the versions of who we are right now are just the BEST and I love everything about all of it.
‘The curiosity, confidence, joy, fun, wonderment, adventure, laughter, chaos and mess. It’s all EXACTLY right. But wheeewwwww my heart broke for a little minute there at the realisation that I couldn’t go back, even if I wanted to.
‘So yes the intensity of emotion was a surprise. But the magnitude of this last year made that inevitable. So I sat with a lot of those feelings, not being remotely over dramatic, and was a little bit relieved when we all went to soft play on her birthday and literally nothing was different. I must have just done something I NEVER do, which is overthink.’
‘What a year and what a life! Just feeling SO lucky’, she ended.
Following Arlo’s birth last year, her TV star dad was elated, sharing a picture of himself enjoying a cuddle with the newborn.
The broadcaster captioned his Instagram post: ‘The happiest a man can be.’
