Late last year, Joyner Lucas revealed he also has music on the way with Jelly Roll following a show the New England native attended.
Taking to Instagram in December, Joyner shared a clip of Jelly showing him love from Boston’s Agganis Arena stage the night before.
“One of the coolest experiences in my life is seeing a guy that I’m a fan of standing beside the stage tonight,” Jelly can be seen saying in the clip. “My now brother and dear friend Mr. Joyner Lucas came to see me tonight, everybody! I love you, baby. Thank you so much. I’m so blessed to have you as a friend and a brother. Your presence here means a lot.”
He continued: “You have went on to do things they thought a kid from Boston would never be able to do. You have defied gravity. You have built a life for you and your family. You have broken generational curses and created generational wealth and you are arguably one of the greatest rappers that has ever done it so here’s to Joyner Lucas!”
In his caption, Joyner wrote: “[Prayer emoji] just wow…. @jellyroll615 almost made me cry no [cap]. thank you my dear brother for giving me [flowers] and for being such a good friend and human being.”
He finished the post with “2024” followed by music, rocket and eyeball emojis, possibly alluding to a collab on its way from the pair.
In addition to new music with Jelly Roll, Joyner Lucas may have new music with Will Smith on the way soon as well.
In an Instagram post in September, Joyner alluded to a joint project with the Fresh Prince as he shared a video of them in the studio.
“Dear hero. I never thought I’d ever meet you,” he wrote. “Still trips me out that I grew up idolizing you, to then me making a record about my admiration and respect for you, to then you asking me to create a whole album with you.
